Krav Maga is the worlds’ longest standing system of military Hand to Hand Combat training. Instinctive to learn and simple to apply, Krav Maga is the PREFERRED system of training of over 500 military and Law Enforcement Units across the globe.
Krav Maga as taught by British Krav Maga is simple, instinctive and realistic.
Do I need to be fit?
No you do not need to be fit. But you do need to be in reasonably good health. We put a lot of focus on physical conditioning. This is because conditioning gives you the ability to fight longer if needed. It also develops the mindset to keep going through pain and not give up which is key to survival. You will develop fitness as you progress.
What are the ages you train?
At this stage it is 18 years and over due to the nature of classes.
How long are the classes?
A typical class is 90 minutes.
What will I learn?
Krav Maga training is all about self defence & real world violence. There are no competitions or rules. Each class will involve a warm up and fitness training. Then we will go into the skills of the month. We typically spend one month focusing on a particular area of the system. This concludes with a summary phase involving fitness drills and practising all the skills learnt. After 6 months you should have a good grasp of all the areas. From then on its about skill building and getting better.
